Ingredients and materials for the Santa Cake

To make a Santa Cake, you need the following baking equipment:

  • Round tin, cake cake, and round drum
  • White sugar paste
  • Red, peach and black modeling paste
  • Caster Sugar
  • White flower paste

For the cake, split and fill your cake with your buttercream. Then, put the cake on the thin board using buttercream. Then roll out the sugar paste to a 1/4 of an inch thickness.

To keep the sugar paste from sticking, lift and move it around and add more flour. Moreover, shape sugar pastes to sides of the cake and then smooth it out using smoothers.

Starting in the middle of the top of the cake, sprinkle the sugar paste onto the cake until it is secure all around. Using a crimper, crimp the edges of your icing. Then, fix your Santa cake to your iced cake drum with a little royal icing.
